What is a D.O.?

Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.s) are fully trained physicians, licensed to practice the full scope of medicine and surgery. D.O.s trained in the United States attend their own osteopathic medical schools, receive the same post-graduate training as their M.D. (allopathic) colleagues, and receive additional education and training in the principles of osteopathy, applied in practice as osteopathic manipulative treatment.

Dr. Nugent no longer participates with any insurance companies and has adopted a patient centered practice model where payment is collected at the time of service. Payment of cash, check or money order will be accepted at time of visit. A receipt will be provided which the patient may submit to the insurance company or Health Savings Account (HSA) for reimbursement.
